Tomorrow live from 6:30pm to 7:30 pm, the Foundation invites Émilie Renard, curator and author, and Mathis Collins, sculptor and performer, laureates of the European Chronicles open call for a research and production residency. Currently featured at La Criée centre d’art contemporain in Rennes, on the occasion of the exhibition « Mime », in partnership with the Foundation, the research of Émilie Renard and Mathis Collins takes root in street theatre across disciplines and time. This talk will give the opportunity to introduce the collaborative works born from these investigations: a workshop and a performance at the École Européenne Supérieure d’arts in Rennes, bringing together researchers and actors around the figure of the clown and the grimace.

The Foundation gives a voice to visual artists, writers, philosophers and filmmakers in an online conversation format and in pairs. These exchanges aim at questioning the current world, raising awareness, inventing new narratives in the light of the health and ecological crisis.Which commitment and responsibility do creators and philosophers have regarding this crisis? How does it impact artistic and writing practices? The Foundation invites for this first encounter Fabrice Hyber, visual artist and Emanuele Coccia, philosopher and lecturer at the EHESS, that will be sharing their inspiring visions.

Eric Reinhardt has recently published Comédies françaises (Gallimard, 2020) competing for the “Prix Médicis” and laureate of the “Prix littéraire des Inrockuptibles”. The author will be our guest on Thursday December 10 to talk about his relationships with literature and suggest its “ideal bibliography” choosing five books, that will feed the collection of the Foundation shaping a shared library, both timeless and marked by our times.
